Options for OLGC Parishioners
Three ways to support your parish
Faith Direct enables parishioners to make your Church contributions even when you cannot attend Mass. Now, through either direct debit from your checking/savings account or through your credit/debit card, you can apply with the convenience of Faith Direct to make your parish offering in much the same way as you may now do to make your mortgage, car or tuition payments.
Faith Direct also offers you personalized offertory cards to replace your envelopes for the collection basket for when we are finally able to come together again for Mass. This way of giving will continue to be a stable and effective way for the parish to receive your gifts.
Please consider enrolling by visiting Faith Direct to enroll securely online.
Another way to make your offering to the parish is to use “bill pay” through your bank. This method is currently being used by more parishioners. You can make it an automatic transaction with your bank to send your offering through “bill pay” either weekly or monthly. By using this method of payment, your offering will be received automatically, even if you are on vacation or unable to attend Mass.
Please have the bank put your envelope number on the “Bill Pay” check.
A distribution from your IRA is a great way to support the Church! If you reached the age of 70½, you may make a direct distribution (up to $100,000) from your IRA to a qualified charity, such as Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. A qualified direct distribution to our parish from your IRA is not subject to income tax. (For more information about how you and our church can benefit from an IRA charitable rollover, contact your IRA administrator, tax preparer, or the parish office for more information.)
