Heavenly Father
Pour forth your Holy Spirit
to inspire me with the words from Holy Scripture.

May the Gospel be addressed to my ears
and to my heart
so that your Word
and the Body and Blood of your Son
may become my spiritual food and drink
and transform my life.

Let me use my personal resources
to witness to the Gospel in my everyday life
in my home, in my church community and in my society.

In moments of hesitation, remind me:
If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel?
If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed?
If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim?

Deepen my faith,
so that I might freely witness
to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
