Mission: Share the body and blood of Jesus Christ to those in communion with the Holy Catholic Church.
Eucharistic Ministers (EHMCs) assist the presiding priest by giving the body and blood of Christ to the church congregation during Mass and take communion to those unable to attend Mass. Some in this ministry will visit the Clyde E. Lassen Veterans and Westminster nursing home facilities on a regular basis to bring the Body of Christ to them. Home visitations can be made to those parishioners who are unable to attend a regular service due to a health condition.
Ministers must be 18 years of age or older, in good standing with the Church, and have received the Sacraments.
OLGC is always in need of more Eucharistic Ministers with the growth within the community and parish. Typically, EM’s will be scheduled to serve once per month. Special training is available for this ministry.
