Les Moineaux, The French Boys Choir from Paris, France, will be performing at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Monday, July 11th at 7.00pm.
Les Moineaux (Children Globetrotters) have been singing and traveling in France and all over the world for nearly 70 years. They will be on tour in the Southeast United States this Summer, offering concerts which include music from the sixteenth century to the present day (i.e. the well-known Hallelujah from Handel, Ave Maria from Gounod), as well as music pieces of the French folklores.
This institution gives young boys a special experience of life through singing and group life. Traveling in various countries also gives them the opportunity to discover different cultures. Their life is made of concerts, television shows, singing lessons, tours and participating in the liturgy.
The choir performs in a chamber choir configuration (8 teenagers and young men) and is conducted and accompanied by François OLIVIER, who is also the Titular of the Choir Organ at the prestigious church – St. Eustache at Paris (France).
The concert is free, though donations are gladly accepted, Their latest CD will also be for sale.
