Altar Servers

OLGC welcomes people of all ages to minister as Altar Servers.

This ministry is a wonderful opportunity for children, grades 4 or higher, who have received their First Holy Communion. This ministry provides a means of participation and growth in the parish community. Altar servers can serve at the Saturday Vigil, Sunday Masses, and special masses throughout the year.

We encourage all families to consider this also as an opportunity to serve at the Lord’s table together: parent and child, and siblings. Training is provided.

There is a need for adult altar servers who are available during the weekdays to serve at funerals. Basic commitment is once a month.
